Announcing the winners of the 2012 Stallholder Awards
31 October 2012
A gourmet pie producer, an olive grower and a saltbush lamb and free range pork specialist were just some of winners of the second Capital Region Farmers Market People’s Choice Stallholder Awards, announced at the Market on Saturday 27 October 2012.
The awards were established to recognise the efforts of the stallholders who are at the heart of Canberra’s vibrant, popular and rapidly growing Saturday morning Market. The winners were selected by Market customers across nine categories.
“The awards are the perfect way of recognising the outstanding efforts of the stallholders at the Capital Region Farmers Market,’” said Farmers Market spokesperson, Tony Howard.
“We would like to thank stallholders for participating in the awards and our customers for taking the time to vote and let us know their favourites.”
The winners for the 2012 awards are:

Best Vegetables: Majestic Mushrooms
Best Meat, Poultry & Seafood: Bundawarrah
Best Baked Goods: Amore Cakes
Best Flowers, Plants & Garden: Canberra Colour
