Kylie Kwong ‘goes bananas’ at the markets

Celebrity chef Kylie Kwong makes mention of her visit to the markets in her latest cookbook titled It tastes better.

Her book is a celebration of all the growers, farmers, fishermen, artisans and food providores she has met, and a tribute to the food she loves. She created over 100 recipes inspired by fresh, seasonal and sustainably produced food including a recipe for banana cake inspired by her meeting with the markets’ resident ‘banana man’.

The market is also mentioned in the book’s farmers market directory amongst the best farmers markets in the country. It tastes better was published in 2010 through Lantern/Penguin and is available now.
